Contemporary data
Mpox epidemic 2022:
Repository contains a copy of public data from WHO on weekly mpox cases in 2022, by country. Also synthetic data generated by the TANGO model on sexual behavior histories of 170.000 simulated individuals (sexual network) and simulated epidemics on the synthetic networks. Source code for the TANGO model is included. GitHub - UlrikHvid/TANGO model
Heterogeneity in testing for infectious diseases:
This project explores the profound consequences of person-to-person variability in participation in an infectious disease testing program. The project made use of test data (PCR and antigen) from Statens Serum Institute. GitHub - NBIBioComplexity/TestHeterogeneity
Historical data
Danish Royal Board of Health (1867-1904):
兴发娱乐官网手机版客户端 often use aggregated infectious disease-notification data in our research (for example: Ingholt et al, 2025, Economic History Review). These monthly data form each medical region in Denmark are transcribed from annual reports from the Danish Royal Board of Health for the period 1867-1904. You can explore the data in our interactive application. Link til Shinyapps
100 Years of Mortality: Danish Burial Records:
The 1800's were a time where diseases like cholera, scarlet fever and influenza ravaged Denmark. Back then, every single burial was meticulously written down in the Danish burial records. Thanks to an immense effort of transcription of these records, mortality data from 1814 to 1914 is now available. At PandemiX, we have analysed these 100 years of mortality, and compiled an overview of the largest mortality crises of the 19th century as well as aggregated data on county level. Smallpox hospitalisations and data on the vaccination status of smallpox patients in the Copenhagen outbreaks of 1824, 1828-30, and 1835:
As part of our work to determine how effective the first smallpox vaccine was, we have transcribed data from the hospital S?kv?sthuset. Between 1824 and 1835, S?kv?sthuset operated as a smallpox hospital and quarantine station. It was mandatory for everyone with smallpox to be hospitalised here during this period, and the patient records from S?kv?sthuset therefore provide a good overview of a very large fraction of all smallpox infections in Copenhagen at the time. 兴发娱乐官网手机版客户端 supplemented these data with tabulated case counts by vaccination status published by the contemporary doctors M?hl, Hoppe, and 兴发娱乐官网手机版客户端ndt. The S?kv?sthuset data set can be found on Github:

Smallpox vaccination model:
To analyse smallpox data from 1824-35 we constructed a numerical model simulating the vaccine rollout and subsequent epidemic dynamics of smallpox. The code for this model (MATLAB) is available on Figshare:
